TERMS OF SERVICE
These Terms of Service apply to purchases made from RIVEN Automotive, operated by LJC LOGISTICS LTD (“RIVEN”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. Our products
RIVEN supplies premium aftermarket steering wheel products and related automotive accessories. Unless expressly stated otherwise, our products are independent aftermarket products and are not manufactured, supplied, sponsored or endorsed by Mercedes-Benz.
Mercedes-Benz and any other vehicle manufacturer names are used only where necessary to describe compatibility.
2. Vehicle compatibility
Our steering wheels are vehicle-specific. You are responsible for checking that the product selected is suitable for your vehicle, including its model, year, specification, existing steering wheel, controls and relevant vehicle features.
If you are unsure about compatibility, please contact us before ordering.
We are not responsible for problems arising solely because a customer has selected a product incompatible with their vehicle, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
3. Product information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product photographs, descriptions, specifications and prices are accurate.
Minor variations in appearance, finish, stitching, materials or other details may occur where they do not materially change the product advertised.
Any compatibility information provided should be considered alongside the specification of the individual vehicle.
4. Orders
Submitting an order does not necessarily mean we have accepted it. We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, an obvious pricing error has occurred, payment cannot be authorised or we cannot fulfil the order.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, the appropriate amount will be refunded.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in GBP unless stated otherwise.
Payment is processed using the payment methods offered at checkout. Where Klarna or another third-party payment provider is selected, additional terms from that provider may apply.
We reserve the right to change prices for future orders without affecting orders already accepted.
6. Delivery
RIVEN steering wheels are generally special-order products.
Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery to your door unless a different timeframe is stated on the relevant product or during checkout.
Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees unless we expressly agree otherwise. If a significant delay occurs, we will deal with it in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
7. Installation and safety
Steering wheel assemblies can contain airbags, electrical connections and other safety-critical components.
We strongly recommend that installation is performed by a suitably competent professional.
RIVEN is not responsible for damage or injury caused by incorrect installation, misuse, unauthorised modification or installation by someone who is not suitably competent, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
8. Returns, cancellations and refunds
Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable UK consumer law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights that consumers are legally entitled to.
9. Faulty goods
Products must be as described, fit for their intended purpose where legally applicable, and of satisfactory quality.
If a product is faulty, damaged or materially not as described, please contact us promptly. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Intellectual property
The RIVEN name, website design, branding, written content and other original RIVEN materials may not be copied, reproduced or commercially exploited without permission.
Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
11. Website use
You must not misuse our website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or losses arising from misuse, incorrect installation or incompatible product selection for which the customer was responsible.
13. Personal information
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The terms applicable to an order will be those in effect when that order is placed, subject to applicable law.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory legal protections that apply to them.
